“Qatar Airways is once again delighted to be associated with the Commercialbank Qatar Masters, an event that takes pride of place as Qatar’s first major sporting event of the year,” said Qatar Airways’ Chief Executive Officer Akbar Al Baker.
“As Official Airline of the tournament, Qatar Airways looks forward to flying in some of the world’s best golfers, sponsors and fans to experience our award-winning Five Star hospitality from anywhere across the globe and to watch some great sporting action.”
Qatar Airways has been involved in the Commercialbank Qatar Masters since 2007. Prior to this, the airline was associated with the event through the Qatar Golf Association (QGA), organisers and promoters of the event in association with the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) and title sponsors Commercialbank.
“Qatar Airways is one of the country’s strongest brand names and a world-class organisation in its own right,” said QGA President Hassan Al Nuami. “The tournament and the airline have enjoyed a long and successful relationship as we work together to take Qatar’s message to a global audience.”
In addition to transporting the world’s leading golfers to and from Doha, Qatar Airways will also use its position as the event’s Official Airline to promote its up-and-coming new routes and for on-the-ground hospitality.
“We believe the Commercialbank Qatar Masters, presented by Dolphin Energy, to be a perfect sponsorship vehicle not only for Qatar companies but also international brands,” said Commercialbank Group CEO Andrew Stevens.
“Qatar Airways maintains a professional and targeted focus showcasing the nation as a dynamic centre for business, tourism and sport. We are delighted to have their full support for what is going to be a truly memorable golf tournament.”
