Doha (QATAR): Following its successful involvement with the tournament for the past two years, Carpetland goes into its third year of sponsorship delighted with the ongoing success of the Commercialbank Qatar Masters, presented by Dolphin Energy.

The UAE-based company plays a major part in the overall look of the $2.5million tournament, which will be staged for the thirteenth time at Doha Golf Club from January 28-31.
“We are very glad to see the growth and success of the event and how it has been recognised as a major part of the European Tour,” said Al Aqili Furnishings’ Managing Director Mansour Khodjasteh.
“We have a long history of involvement with major golfing tournaments throughout the region - this is our third year with the Commercialbank Qatar Masters – and we believe this event is an excellent platform for our brands to gain exposure to both the corporate and consumer audience.
“It’s a strategic alliance that we wish to continue for a long time. In fact, the event itself was the basis for our organisation’s entry into the Qatari market. The event gets better every year, and we look forward to a long and fruitful partnership for years to come.”
Carpetland’s views echo the results of the recent Arabian Sponorship Awards where the Commercialbank Qatar Masters, presented by Dolphin Energy, took the top honour in the ‘Business To Business’ category.
“We are always pleased to get the feedback of our corporate partners,” said Hassan Al Nuami, President of the Qatar Golf Association (QGA), organisers of the event in collaboration with the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) and title sponsors Commercialbank.
“While the golf course is always in immaculate condition for the players, we firmly believe in giving the corporate sponsors and VIP guests an equally first-class and memorable experience in the hospitality areas. Thanks to the support of Carpetland, our chalets and hospitality fittings are up there with the best on the Tour.”
With less than a month to go until Spain’s big hitting Alvaro Quiros begins the defence of the Mother of Pearl Trophy, the Commercialbank Qatar Masters, presented by Dolphin Energy, is attracting the cream of world golf with Camilo Villegas and Kenny Perry – regulars from the PGA TOUR – joining the action for the first time alongside European Tour big guns such as Lee Westwood, Sergio Garcia, and Retief Goosen.
“The names of the sponsors involved with the tournament are as impressive as those of the players,” said Commercialbank Group CEO Andrew Stevens. “What is particularly rewarding is to see how word has spread with players from North and South America keen to sample Doha Golf Club for the first time. None of this would be possible without the support of our local and international sponsors.”
