Since 1998 the prestigious Qatar Masters golf tournament has been hosted by Doha Golf Club. The annual tournament is sponsored by Commercial Bank of Qatar and is held at the beginning of each year as part of the European Tour. Many of the world's top golfers compete on Doha Golf Club's unique and challenging desert-type Championship Course, from Rory McIlroy and Henrik Stenson to Jose Maria Olazabal to Ernie Els. For the live spectators that come from around the Middle East and beyond to watch this key European Tour event, the Qatar Masters experience offers unrivalled proximity to world class golf, as fans spend their days literally feet away from the world's best.
The first Qatar Masters was played in 1998, when Andrew Coltart of Scotland finished 18 under par after four days to become the first player to lift the Mother of Pearl Trophy.
2015 Commercial Bank Qatar Masters will again feature a great field full of established champions and up-and-comers, with $2.5 million up for grab and valuable ranking points.

Players:The 2015 Commercial Bank Qatar Masters will feature a field of established European Tour champions and rising stars, with a prize fund of USD2.5 million up for grabs along with valuable ranking points. The likes of Sergio Garcia, Justin Rose, Henrik Stenson, Martin Kaymer, Ernie Els, Jason Dufner and Paul McGinley have all competed for the Mother of Pearl Trophy in previous years. Additionally, Qatar’s top two golfers will be invited to take part in the tournament as wild card entries.
