Retief Goosen (born February 3, 1969) is a South African professional golfer who has been in the top ten in the Official World Golf Rankings for several years.

Retief won the $2.2 million Commercialbank Qatar Masters 2007 with a stunning birdie-eagle finish on the final two holes at Doha Golf Club. “There was a little bit of excitement at the end,” smiled Goosen, after receiving the trophy and the $366,660 winner’s cheque from Omar Al Fardan, Board Member of Commercialbank, and Hassan Al Nuami, President of the Qatar Golf Association. “Obviously you feel for the guy when you make the putt but that’s happened to all of us and what can you say to him? I just happened to make the right shot at the right time to win the tournament.”

Goosen is also being affectionally called "The Goose".
