Doha, Qatar: Australian star-in-the-making Min Woo Lee will tee it up in this year’s Commercial Bank Qatar Masters as he continues to blaze a trail in the early stages of his burgeoning professional career. Lee’s elder sister, Minjee Lee, is currently ranked sixth in the Women’s Rolex Ranking who  turned professional when she was aged 18 – joining Jason Day, Adam Scott and Cameron Smith as Australian teenagers who turned pro. Min Woo bucked the trend by waiting until he was aged 20 before signing professional terms, making his debut earlier this year on the European Tour in Abu Dhabi. He then went on to play in the inaugural European Tour event in Saudi Arabia, finishing fourth. He then finished in a share of fifth place in his home city of Perth at the ISPS Handa World Super 6. His top five finish earned him a place in the field in the Oman Open and he will follow that by making his debut in the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters, aiming to follow in compatriot Scott’s footsteps, who won twice in Qatar.
