Commercial Bank is pleased to announce the official opening of Commercial Bank Qatar Masters 2020, which will be held from 5 to 8 March at Education City Golf Club. The opening was attended by Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation, who inaugurated the Education City Golf Club building, in addition to the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters 2020 tournament.
On this occasion, His Excellency Abdul Rahman Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah, member of the Commercial Bank Board of Directors expressed his pride in the continued success of Commercial Bank Qatar Masters golf tournament, which contributed to establishing Qatar’s position for world-class sporting events, and stated: “The tournament is the annual long-awaited sports and social event. The will of our country and its wise leadership inspire us the determination and strength to organize and sponsor such world-class events that raise the name of Qatar on the international map. The credit in this achievement goes to the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, and his national vision in making Qatar the focus of attention of the whole world.”
Al-Attiyah added: “On behalf of myself and the Chairman and members of the Commercial Bank Board of Directors, I am delighted to acknowledge the great efforts made by Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development headed by Her Highness Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser to enhance education, creativity, innovation and sustainability to serve the community.”
He also congratulated Her Highness on the opening of the Education City Golf Club, the new sports facility, as well as her continued efforts in developing the level of sport related to youth.
His Excellency said that “our fruitful and continuous cooperation with the Olympic Committee, Education City, and Qatar Golf Association will certainly help to reinforce and combine our efforts to showcase to the world the endless opportunities that Qatar can offer to the sports sector, as a global destination for international championships.” He also confirmed that achieving the desired goals will become easier with the opening of the new sports facility at Education City Golf Club, which witnessed yesterday, for the first time the start of the competitions of the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters golf tournament in the twenty-third edition of the European Tour with the participation of the best champions and professional golfers competing vigorously to win the unique Mother of Pearls Trophy.”
Commercial Bank, in its capacity as the Title Sponsor of the tournament, welcomed the participants in organizing this big event.

Al-Attiyah concluded his speech by emphasizing the important role played by Commercial Bank in supporting sports activities and championships in Qatar, and the current golf tournament is proof positive of the ongoing efforts to support the Qatari society in all areas.
