DOHA (Qat): The Qatar golf family has reacted with shock at the accident news of legend Tiger Woods and have wished him a speedy recovery.
Woods, met with an accident in Los Angeles on Tuesday and is since recovering in hospital having underwent surgery on his fractured leg. Woods crashed his SUV on sweeping, downhill road in the Los Angels suburbs.
Woods was driving to a television shoot when his SUV crashed into a median, rolled over and ended up on its side near a steep road known for wrecks, authorities said. Golf’s biggest star had to be pulled out through the windshield.
“it is a painful feeling to hear the news, especially when that happens to my idol and for so many golfers around the world,” Qatar’s top-ranked player Saleh Al Kaabi told www.qatarmasters.com “I wish him speedy recovery.”
Al Kaabi’s Qatari team-mate Jaham Al Kuwairi said he was saddened to hear the news.
“I was sad when I came to know about accident on social media. It’s a terrible thing to happen for anybody and that to who is my idol. Hopefully, he will recover and come back on the golf course once again,” said Al Kuwari.
Ali Al Shahrani also wished the golf icon a quick come back.
“I hope to back from hospital soon and back on the golf course, wishing him a speedy recovery,” said Al Shahrani.
