The Doha Golf Club Championship Course played as tough as it ever has at the 2000 Qatar Masters. Rolf Muntz battled his way to a comfortable victory, as his 8-under-par, four-day total left him well ahead of the field. With the Shamal winds swirling and the rough playing especially difficultly, the 32-year-old Dutchman raced ahead of the field, finishing five shots better than Ian Woosnam in second and nine shots better than Stephen Leaney and Eduardo Romero in third.
